Marrakesh🌴

What an experience to travel to Marrakesh, the oriental, Arabic world with fine ceramics, exciting spices, carpets, blazing sun, music, and good food. Jamaa el-fnaa was fun. You could do without the dancing monkeys on leashes and replicas moving to flutes. Around Jamaa el-Fnaa, you will find nice rooftop bars that serve good Moroccan food and alcohol like this gem 'Le Salama.' You should not be in a hurry, and it may happen that they forget a dish or two on the way, but the food is delicious. Thus, their ginger mojito. 😋🍸 Near this lunch spot is the Bahia Palace with beautiful mosaics and tiles. Close to the entrance is a square with a little café, Mazél, with really good chicken pitas.

The Majorelle Garden is also a must-see. There is so much beauty for the eye in there that you think you should quickly go home and organize your own garden. 😁 It is only possible to buy tickets online. Taxis cost 80-100 MAD no matter if it's a long trip or a short one - good to know! We got recommended an Italian restaurant that had an absolutely magical romantic setting, an indoor oasis with plants and a pool, and delicious food. A really hip place. 'La Trattoria.'

A tradition is to go to the Hammam spa, where you get washed and properly scrubbed. You feel as smooth as a baby afterward. 🧼🧽🫧 For a wonderful experience, visit 'Les Bain de Suits,' where it is so beautiful and you are well taken care of. For our last night in Marrakesh, we checked into a riad called Dar Anika, very charming with lovely rooms. We were welcomed by milk and dates. 🥛🍥 Then we enjoyed drinks at their rooftop bar in the sunset in 26°C. 🍸 Our last night, we went to dinner and a show. It was such an amazing evening in this oriental setting, fabulous food and show with French and Arabic vibes. The name is Comptoir Darma. Make sure to make a reservation beforehand. Next morning we got a Moroccan breakfast which consisted of various sweet breads, honey 🍯, and jam, with a really good cup of Moroccan coffee. We said farewell and got handed a snack bag with us on the way to the airport. 🛫

Would we go to Marrakesh again? Answer: YES!!! 🌞🤩
